The recent loss of its wonderful, if a little drafty, original steel casement windows is another compelling reason these great Art Deco buildings should be Landmarked. At Noonan Plaza the LPC was able to insist on modern equivalents that look very similar to the original casements and solve the draft problem. Prior to this there had been a successful brick restoration even without matching bullnose at the spandrels. Minor loss was the original Entrance Doors & street number sign.
There are those who think Marble Hill is part of Manhattan but it has a Bronx zip code and is geographically part of the Bronx so BADAHA claims 135 W 225 along with several other Deco buildings in Marble Hill.
