- Vertical brickwork identifies this as an example of Early Deco that has had its parapet removed, but there is no remaining hint of just how dramatic that parapet was! Alas, the many vertical projections probably required diligent attention and maintenance that they never received. 226 West Tremont Avenue, not far away (and now itself surrounded by a sidewalk shed) is perhaps a subtler relative. Geometric terrazzo floors and a unique monolithic all-brick fireplace are the distinguishing elements of the lobby.
