- Facade & Parapet appear to be original as of 2022. Shallow setback combines with following the street bend to demonstrate the basic elements of CBD. Nice abstract sculptural quality to the brick & cast stone Entry. The Entry at 2259 Creston also by Miller & Goldhammer has a similar feel. Perfect urban architecture by skillful architects not all that prolific in the Bronx but with two Art Deco buildings (675 Walton & 710 Gerard) included in the Grand Concourse Historic District. From the Avery Library Brochure collection it appears they designed mostly in Washington Heights, Inwood, Astoria and Flushing, not always in the Deco style but mostly. The partnership ended after WW2 and separately they had successful careers designing large scale middle income projects.
