- 1750 GC, a really grand CBD before the loss of its parapet, can be glimpsed at the bottom left corner of the 1940s photo used for the cover of "Boulevard of Dreams", the authoritative social history of the Grand Concourse by Constance Rosenblum. The fine Moderne Deco Building next to 1750, also seen in the Wurts Bros & Tax photos, was demolished by Robert Moses to build the Cross Bronx Expressway! The rear view from 174th Street (the Cross Bronx is on the other side of and below the green railing) displays new 21st Century adornments on the Parapet of 1750 that are positioned in a very Deco way. Herbert Lilien uses the same central Terrazzo swirl motif in the Lobby at 1915 Morris Avenue.
