AKA Ann Rose. Visible for many years from the Cross Bronx Expressway, abandoned and boarded up, it was renovated in the 1980s as part of Mayor Ed Koch's innovative and successful program to give new lives to abandoned buildings and a new life to the South Bronx. It has recently undergone another renovation and miraculously the decorative brick and cast stone features of the facade and parapet have survived them both. Which is to prove that it is possible.
