- The badly cracked Parapet seems to have survived. Kreymborg uses the first of two set backs for fire escapes. The Fake Fireplace is similar to that at 1915 Morris Avenue by Herbert Lilien. Is it imitation or flattery? The new affordable housing building next door at 1605 is described thus by the developer - “The building’s Art Deco design gives tribute to the architectural style of buildings seen along the Grand Concourse, complementing the existing structures.”
