- Time has largely stood still at 3312 Perry, which retains its parapet, its original outer doors (though not inner), and what must be original painted faux wood grain walls (for now at least; painted textures and murals are often a single "refresh" away from oblivion). It even contains its original Art Deco furniture, giving an idea of the warm and welcoming atmosphere that many lobbies in the Bronx used to possess. The fake fireplace and geometric terrazzo floors complete the effect. Remove any of these elements and the lobby becomes less coherent. The parapet is subdued, but the chevrons and projecting elements are appealing.
