Great example of Early Deco that sadly now has to go from Should be Landmarked to the Lost Deco Collection. Removal of the castellated Parapet has destroyed the aspirational brick patterns and ruined the verticality. A compelling argument for Landmarking buildings of such quality. Luckily we still have the beautiful well preserved Lobby where there is minimal damage to the plaster mouldings. Note subtle plaster waves at the crown of the walls contrasted with the ribbed ceiling moulding terminating in a classic Deco finned motif.
