When Landmarked in 2011 as part of the LPC Grand Concourse Historic District, this grand Lilien CBD had its Parapet & corner window spandrels clad in Duranodic Anodized corrugated aluminum sheeting (see photo from LPC designation report). Photos from 2021 show the metal framing to which the removed sheeting was attached. The renovation from that time returned these areas to the original brick although apparently not enough of the darker grey color brick was available and the rebuilt corner spandrels are a mess. Aspirational cast stone chevron fluting at the Parapet was removed. The result is certainly an improvement on the aluminum but the LPC should have been more demanding. A good thing the original design for the Entry Portal was rejected in favor of the stainless banded SM version actually built.
