- S & D incorrectly date it 1941 but it might well have been designed then and paused for the War. Like other CBDs from this period it is more International Modern than Deco. Compare to Lilien's similarly sized 831 Gerard Avenue from 1937. Both are built higher under a different code than the standard 6 story CBDs with enclosed fire rated staircases that replace external Fire Escapes. Some Deco fluting under the Mid Century Modern Entrance Canopy. The Foyer is promising but the Lobby is a disappointment.
